Interpretings

Conference Interpreter, who holds a PhD in Translation studies. I teach all sorts of interpreting. In this blog I write about interpreting, Translation and Interpreting Studies, and a few things I teach my interpreting students. My posts reflect my own opinions, they are by no means official positions of any of my employers. Welcome to my world of the spoken word, many books, and… total chaos.

IN MY WORDS…

Welcome to my blog. I'm a Conference Interpreter, who holds a PhD in Translation studies and Director of Studies for Interpreting at the Institute for Interpreting and translation studies at Stockholm Univerity. I teach all sorts of interpreting. In this blog I write about interpreting, Translation and Interpreting Studies, and a few things I teach my interpreting students. Elusive universal translator

Louise the HK interpreter posted this article. Very thoughtful on universal translator device or machine translation. Great aid, but not a sole saviour.
